WhatsApp has to be one of the most frequently updated apps in recent times, and we’re constantly hearing about new features being developed. Before many of these were even available to beta testers. So with so much going on, how can developers keep track of what works well and what doesn’t meet user expectations?
So today, the messaging platform’s plans to develop a chat-style in-app survey to gather feedback from users have surfaced.
We already know that WhatsApp is working on group polls and has separate plans to improve its bug reporting system, but none of them look like the WABetaInfo poll feature seen in development. This new feature lets you chat directly with a verified business account belonging to WhatsApp, thereby providing feedback on specific features and products in the app .
WhatsApp Surveys Business Account Coming
If you’re one of the few people asked to participate in surveys after they arrive, you ‘ll see an invitation stating its purpose and giving you the option to accept or decline . If you are not interested in participating, you can block the WhatsApp Polls account like any other person to avoid all future invitations.
Don’t expect this feedback tool to enable you to request major new features or other radical changes to the service structure. Instead, it looks more like a system that could come in handy for A/B testing and other phases of beta development. However, for anyone invited to share feedback, the new business account chat is definitely better than writing long emails and bug reports to WhatsApp support and developers.
