Warhammer 40K Dawn of War 3 faced great interest at the time of its release. So, what does the real-time strategy video game offer? We will answer the curious question with the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III review.

Recently, we have encountered different Warhammer 40K games. Warhammer 40K, a deeply rooted and deep fantasy universe, is a goldmine for games in terms of narrative depth. As a result, we encounter games with different genres and different scenarios set in the Warhammer 40K universe.

The Dawn of War series was a game series that took the Warhammer 40K universe in the form of the classic real-time strategy game – RTS. Apart from the Dawn of War series, we also played Warhammer 40K action games in the FPS and TPS genre; but the Warhammer 40K universe originally appeared in 1987 as a miniature board war game.

At first glance, the Warhammer 40K universe may seem a bit distant and difficult to enter in terms of its depth. It is only natural to have such a bias before playing Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3; In our review, we will talk about this situation and tell you whether your prejudices are in place.

Warhammer 40K Dawn of War 3 Review

Before preparing the Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War III review, I had not played all the Warhammer 40K games. For this reason, I cannot say that I have advanced knowledge about the Warhammer universe.

However, as a real-time strategy game, I can evaluate Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War III, compare the game with well-known and accepted strategy games such as Starcraft and Warcraft, and I can also tell you whether you should have detailed information about the Warhammer 40K universe before playing the game.

We’ll cover the graphics, story, and gameplay of the popular video game in our review. You can have information about the production in question by browsing the article we prepared.

Dawn of War 3 Graphics

Dawn of War III, published by Sega, was released in April 2017. Although the game is currently insufficient in terms of graphics, it had quality graphics at the time it was offered for sale. Therefore, it is more logical to compare the graphics compared to 2017.

Developed by Relic Entertainment, the game did a successful job in terms of voice acting as well as graphics. This is a factor that directly affects gameplay, because bad voice acting can prevent the atmosphere from being reflected successfully.

Dawn of War 3 Story

Another remarkable part of the game is its story. We witness a great war in the production, which has an immersive story. While the war continues, the Space Marine group is led by the commander named Gabriel Angelos, the Orcs are led by Warboss Gorgutz and the Eldar group by Farseer Macha.

The game’s story begins in a world under siege by a huge army of Orcs led by Warboss. For some unknown reason, the Imperial Navy was ordered to blockade the planet. You can play three different groups in order to defeat the enemies in the game. So, how does this affect gameplay? How is the gameplay system of the game?

Dawn of War 3 Gameplay

As we mentioned above, we can play with three different groups in the game. The Space Marine’s Global Bombardment, the Eldar’s fierce Edritch Storm, and the Orcs’ Rokks all come in handy when battling enemies.

The group we control in each section can change. For example, in The Defense of Varlock Keep, you control the Space Marine group. You control the Orcs in the Destined for Greater Fings section and the Eldar group in the Beware False Profits section. Let’s say that you can control all three groups in some sections.

Although controlling three different groups in the game instead of one provides variety, this can negatively affect the bonding with the characters played. Each of the three groups may have to apply a different strategy. On the other hand, units may change due to different groups.

Conclusion

The fact that there are only three different races in the video game called Dawn of War III, which reflects the atmosphere of war very successfully, is a negative situation for most players. The diversity in the unit draws attention in the production, which attracted attention at the time of its release with its quality graphics.

Unfortunately, the video game, which was released years ago, cannot meet the expectations in terms of cinematic. The Turkish interface and subtitle support in the game is a great advantage for understanding the story. In this way, even if you do not know a foreign language, you can play the game by understanding the story and the missions.

If you like the real-time strategy genre and like the previous games in the Warhammer 40K series, you can check out Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III. The game is currently sold on the Steam digital game store with a price tag of 100 TL. This price may increase or decrease over time
