Samsung has remained largely unrivaled in the foldable market after the first few Motorola Razr foldables failed to make an impact, but that could change in 2022. Of course, this is expected to happen not only because of Motorola, who came up with the Motorola Razr 2022, but also because of the Chinese giant company Oppo , which seems ready to launch a few foldable models outside of China this year.

Yogesh Brar, famous for his leaks, told Pricebaba that Oppo will be bringing two new foldable smartphones to the market this fall. The names of these foldable phones  will be Oppo Find N Fold and Oppo Find N Flip . These will both feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor and, as the name suggests, compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 .

Oppo Will Launch Its Foldable Phones Worldwide

The Find N Fold will likely resemble the original Oppo Find N in China as a normal looking smartphone that opens up to reveal a larger tablet. The Find N Flip will be similar to the Moto Razr or Galaxy Z Flip series, allowing you to fold your regular-sized phone in half when not in use, making it more compact .

If these were a China-only version like the original Find N, this probably wouldn’t bother Samsung too much, but the first signs are that Pricebaba lists for both phones on the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) website earlier this month. With its detection, it shows that Oppo has a bigger target .

This may bother Samsung executives, but the worldwide launch of Oppo’s next foldable products should be welcomed by all. This is important, not only because it gives consumers more choice overall, but also because competition leads to innovation.
