Mobile games made good money on Activision Blizzard

On top of all this information, it’s not surprising to see Acti-Blizz’s revenue from different platforms this quarter. The company earned $332 million on the PC side and $376 million on the console front. In other words, the total revenue of the company from two fronts is 708 million dollars. That’s huge revenue in itself, but the mobile side of it is jaw-dropping.

On the other hand, Activision’s mobile revenue is $831 million alone, which is even more than the combined revenue from console and PC. When we look at the income distribution of Acti-Blizz in recent years, it is seen that the income of mobile games has increased regularly. Activision attributed this to the decrease in interest in the Call of Duty series and the decrease in revenue from World of Warcraft. Let’s remind you that this time of last year, the pandemic is in full swing and World of Warcraft Classic: Burning Crusade is out.

Some of the big games to come out of Acti-Blizz for the remainder of this year (at least for now) will be World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, Modern Warfare 2 and Overwatch 2. The balances may change drastically in the firm’s next financial report.
