Game Pass Widget Coming to Windows 11

Microsoft ‘s new Windows 11 widget seems to make it even easier to find which games are coming to PC Game Pass. The widget is currently only available to Windows Insider testers and offers a new “window” to the service’s game library, allowing you to check out the latest additions and upcoming games.

Microsoft currently has a fairly limited selection of widgets in Windows 11, but the Game Pass widget shows that Microsoft is experimenting with other apps (not as boring as weather, calendar, and news). Windows 11 is expected to support third-party widgets eventually, but adding Game Pass might be a good way to enjoy the widgets dashboard for now and may even help promote the subscription service.

What Does the Game Pass Widget Include?

The new Game Pass widget displays games in certain categories and acts as a portal to the Xbox app, as well as letting you see which games are coming and going . Microsoft says it’s working on adding other features to the widget , including personalized recommendations and a way for you to sign in to your Xbox account and launch a recently played game .

If you’re a Windows 11 tester, you can add the Game Pass widget by opening the widget panel on your PC and clicking the “plus” icon next to your user profile.
