Five iPhone Models Won’t Display Battery Percentage on iOS 16

Apple has confirmed that the battery percentage will not appear in the status bar of the iPhone SE, iPhone XR, 11, 12 mini and 13 mini in iOS 16 . Some iPhone owners upgrading to iOS 16 will be disappointed to see the new battery percentage indicator missing from the status bar.

This is not a bug, as MacRumors reports. Apple has updated a support page to confirm that the battery percentage will not display in the status bar on some older iPhone models . More basically, the iPhone SE, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 13 mini will only continue to show a visual representation of the battery level.

Adding the battery percentage to the status bar was high on the list of features requested by iPhone users , and Apple finally introduced it along with many new features in iOS 16. This feature is definitely a much easier way to see how much battery you have left without having to swipe down from the top right corner of your screen.

Apple did not explain why these five iPhone models failed to display the percentage . If you have an iPhone that supports battery percentage display, you can enable it by going to Settings > Battery .
