Tesla , one of the largest electric car manufacturers in the world , introduced its electric pickup trucks called Cybertruck , which attracted attention with its strange design in 2019 . Cybertruck, which had a great impact both in the sector and on social media in a short time, had to be delivered to its users by 2022. However, due to the pandemic we left behind and the global chip crisis , Tesla’s production lines slowed down and orders were delayed.

Currently, Cybertruck has not been delivered to any of the customers. Speaking at Tesla’s 2022 shareholders meeting this week, Elon Musk announced that the price of $ 39,900 promised for the vehicle in 2019 will now be higher .

Elon Musk: “I Hate Bad News”

In 2019, it was announced that the vehicle will be available for $ 39,900. After the last 3 years and dozens of problems, Elon Musk seems to have submitted to the conditions. Elon Musk, who briefed the shareholders about the inner workings of the company at the meeting, said, “I hate to give bad news. A lot has changed since 2019. Cybertruck will be more expensive than the price we promised. Also , deliveries will be delayed for another year .”

On the other hand, the famous billionaire, who did not provide information about the new price of the vehicle, attributed this price increase to the pandemic conditions that gripped the world for 3 years, the chip crisis and the increase in inflation around the world.
