Asus has officially unveiled the ROG Strix XG32UQ, a 32-inch 4K gaming monitor with many of the features gamers expect from a high-end monitor, including those with Xbox Series X or PS5
To begin with, the panel has of course a 4K IPS display that offers a 160Hz refresh rate for smooth movement and a 1ms response time for in-game gestures . The XG32UQ covers 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, which should deliver brilliant colors for both viewing and creating content. It comes with a peak brightness of 600 nits , which should be very bright for most people .
You can get Nvidia or AMD graphics cards as this new Asus monitor has both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro . While the maximum refresh rate is 160 Hz, only DisplayPort users will be able to use this rate. Gamers using HDMI are limited to 144Hz , which is still pretty fast for all but the most competitive esports players . Console owners will also be able to take advantage of variable refresh rate (VRR) thanks to the HDMI 2.1 feature.
Speaking of ports, there’s a built-in USB hub complete with two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, a single 3.5mm headphone jack, and two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports. The stand features tilt, swivel and height adjustment, suitable for those who need maximum flexibility. Broadcasters and those working from home will enjoy the built-in tripod socket for attaching a camera or ring light to enhance their video presence .
Asus has not released pricing information for the XG32UQ gaming monitor, but has confirmed that the gaming monitor will launch in Q3 of 2022 .
